Robin Allen
Growing up in Los Angeles, Robin Allen became independent at an early age and gradually came to understand her identity while attending UC Santa Cruz. She later pursued a career in law, becoming a prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, where she encountered workplace homophobia and challenged policies that denied same-sex couples equal benefits. Through both her career and personal experiences, Robin has witnessed significant changes in LGBTQ+ rights and visibility. Today, she reflects on the importance of mentorship, knowing our history, and ensuring younger generations understand the struggles that helped make many of today’s freedoms possible.
